The Chamber is committed to:

  • To be responsible to our members by providing support and services that meets the needs of our Membership.
  • To establish administration and support services that ensure the Executive Committee and staff operate effectively and efficiently in the interests of our Members.
  • To develop effective information services that ensure the Chamber Executives are aware of the needs and expectations of its Members and the general membership is aware of the decisions, operations and services of the Chamber.
  • To facilitate the development and delivery of educational, training and development programs that effectively assist our Members and their staff to increase the competitiveness and profitability of their business.
  • To actively promote and market the Chamber as the combined and collective voice and opinion of private enterprise in the East Pilbara Shire.
  • To significantly increase the membership of the Chamber to represent a majority of businesses in the East Pilbara Shire by actively marketing the benefits.
  • To assist members who wish to seek additional markets for their products and services locally and overseas.
  • To foster and support association and co-operation with other services and associations regionally that will effectively assist the Chamber mission.
  • To actively promote a professional customer service ethic within the business community of the East Pilbara Shire.


A fulltime Business Office Manager is employed by the Chamber to handle all correspondence of the Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Office Manager processes all information from Government bodies both State and Federal and relays information to Members.

Information is forwarded on to you regarding training programs, changes in tax, superannuation and other relevant information required to support business. We also source required professional support contacts who specialise in areas to assist with building or improving the business.


The Committee hold monthly Chamber meetings to discuss what’s happening within the Chamber. All members are encouraged to attend these meetings as your input is vital.


Current financial Chamber Members receive a discount on their advertising. The Chamber produces the Directory in house in joint venture with Market Creations to enable the Chamber to provide support.

Chamber Events


Business After Hours are networking functions arranged by the NCCI to promote member business. These events are held at the end of each month to coincide with with CCG meetings and offer a valuable opportunity for the hosting business to promote their products and services.

Business After Hours gives you the opportunity to inform members, associates and community members of your business and its functions. These events can be held for a variety of reasons, including promotion of new products, expanding your customer base and help build new relationships. After the presentations, you are then offered the opportunity to answer questions, network and mingle with the local community.

The Pilbara Professional Network is a new initiative designed to bring together like minded professionals working and/or living in the Pilbara Region. It is open to professionals working in both the private and public sectors across all industries from mining, health, law and order, education and local businesses. The initiative fills an existing gap in the professional network within the Pilbara region.

The Pilbara Professional Network will provide an opportunity for local professionals to connect and build relationships with other professionals working and/or living in the Pilbara region. The Pilbara Professional Network is designed solely to inspire, upskill and assist professionals in the Pilbara to make mutually rewarding connections.


The annual event is played as a traditional Ambrose Golf competition.The Golf Day begins with a BBQ followed by a 2pm tee off. Business owners/Managers consider this event as a great staff team building and networking opportunity. 

Funds raised are donated to Newman St John Ambulance and Newman Volunteer Fire Brigade.


The Chamber provides a newsletter for members with information about events within the community. The content of the newsletter enables members to be informed and contains content on new business, community and NCCI events, volunteer profile, member profile and monthly member incentives. and assistance.
